Myron McLane Original Farrier ApronsMyron McLane Aprons are American made of cotton duck cloth and chap split leather. Constructed and manufactured like a fine article of clothing, our aprons are all double stitched and the best hook and loop fastener available is used for the waist and leg straps. Our new style waist strap (originally used on our Lite Aprons ) has elastic to prevent the apron from sliding off the hips, no matter what sort of body shape a shoer may have. Our leather is tanned especially for us by a process that makes it extremely durable and tough, yet soft and flexible. We believe it to be the most comfortable apron you can buy. Waterproof leather at the center of the waist protects clothing from being stained from the bleeding that occurs with other non-waterproof leather. Our aprons have two knife pockets and extra space allowing farriers to install magnets if they choose.
Myron McLane Original and Sparky Aprons are available in three sizes, small, medium and large. The Sparky Apron is available in tan leather with blue canvas only. The Original aprons are available six color combinations, tan leather/blue canvas, tan leather/black canvas, tan leather/green canvas, navy leather/green canvas, tan leather/cranberry canvas and navy leather/cranberry canvas, (cranberry not available at this time-call to check availability of cranberry) canvas. The tan leather/blue canvas Original is also available in medium long and large long.

Click photo above for larger view The quality in our double stitched aprons is readily apparent. What may not be as apparent is the thought put into the design of the apron and the placement of the quality stitching. The stitching is placed away from high wear areas , thus adding to the longevity of the apron. New Style Waist Strap With Elastic Pull to tighten and attach. Stays tight over any clothing. Trim at Stitching to Fit Your Waist "I have used Myron's aprons since they were first introduced. They are tough enough to handle the work, and light enough to be comfortable. The velcro leg and waist fasteners are a tremendous safety feature. I have rebuilt a couple of aprons and given them to apprentices...and they, and the apprentices, are still going strong."
